Who uses RAFT? 80% of RAFT members are classroom teachers. We also serve after-school program leaders, camp counselors, daycare providers, scout leaders, home school teachers, and many other kinds of educators. Is RAFT for new teachers? Teachers with all levels of experience benefit from RAFT. New teachers love the materials and training we provide. Experienced teachers come to get new ideas, interact with their peers, and to "recharge their batteries." Where do RAFT members work? RAFT has locations in Sacramento, San Jose, Redwood City, and Denver, CO. Our Sacramento location draws members from throughout the Greater Sacramento Area including, Yolo and Placer Counties. What students do our members serve? Most RAFT members work with Elementary and Middle School students. They work in public and private schools throughout the Greater Sacramento Area. 87% of our teachers serve students from low-income communities. In total, RAFT teachers reach over 600,000 students. What do teachers do with RAFT materials? 74% of our members use RAFT materials for Science and/or Math. 70% use them for Art. Reading, Social Studies, and many other subjects.
