RAFT generates half of its annual operating expenses from membership, professional development and store revenues. The remaining funds are raised through from individuals, corporations and foundations. RAFT honors its distinguished investors.

Explorit engages children and adults in hands-on science discovery. Explorit offers programs at its Nature Center and takes science programs on the road to schools and community sites in 18 counties. The center offers everyone the chance to “Think it. Try it. Explorit.”

KVIE

For more than 50 years, KVIE has been a trusted partner in the classroom, providing educators with the resources and support they need to engage and inspire diverse learners.  Through KVIE’s education services, teachers and informal educators alike have access to thousands of FREE, standards-based, interactive lesson plans, online activities, and on-demand video assets from PBS and KVIE, designed to encourage the development of 21st learning skills.

Social Venture Partners of Sacramento (SVPS) serves as a community of philanthropists who strategically invest and engage together with non-profits in bold endeavors to advance excellent education for children throughout the Sacramento Region. 

SVPS offers a signature, greater way of doing good that provides immediate direct aide (support) and creates positive social change (reform) which benefits k-12 formal/informal education.  With this purpose we unite the best of profit and non-profit worlds -- power with passion.  We inspire high-level venture philanthropy among our partners to empower the capacity, sustainability, connectivity, and improved social return on investment of local non-profits that ensures greater educational opportunities for school children.

We currently have five promising Investees within our portfolio who involved in bold endeavors to advance excellent education for children:  1) Reading Partners, 2) Positive Coaching Alliance, 3) Fit Sacramento, 4) Powerhouse Science Center, 5) Resource Area for Teaching.
