In just one session, you can assemble hundreds of learning kits, giving thousands of students a powerful "hands-on" learning experience.

Types of Volunteer Tasks

  • Building Educational Kits - Assembling hands-on learning kits for science, math and art.
  • Teacher Support – Provide customer service to members, restock donated materials, and make RAFT clean and presentable.
  • Sorting Donated Materials – Sort and prepare a variety of donated materials.
  • Hands-on Activity Demonstrations (Saturdays only) – Help us demonstrate to our members innovative ways of using RAFT materials. Demonstrators should enjoy engaging with teachers.
  • Resource Room – Perform a range of tasks, including sorting, counting, cutting and bagging materials. Volunteers should be comfortable engaging with the public.
